San Diego Wild Animal Park (7/30/11)

After 4 years, we are letting our San Diego Zoo passes expire :( so we thought we'd get in one more trip to the Wild Animal Park before they were gone!

We splurged and bought an All-Day pass for Chloe for the Carousal - it was totally worth it! She LOVED going on each of the animals. Each time we sat her down on one and waited to the ride to start, she'd start saying, "Up, Down, Up, Down." It was so cute. Then when the ride stopped, she'd ask for "More." We rode on it 6 times throughout the day, totally making the $4 for the pass worth it!

Mommy went off to a Baby Shower in the middle of the day and Daddy and Chloe had special time together. Chloe napped while Daddy ate lunch. Then Chloe woke up and got to see some pretty cool animals up close where they were lunching.

"Up, Down, Up, Down..."

We also rode the tram - one of my favorite things to do :)
Chloe did well until the end when she tried to climb over the side of the tram to get out!

We don't take many pictures of just the two of us anymore - but we got one in!

Loving on Baby Sister :)

Comic-Con 2011 (7/22-7/23)

Welcome to Comic-Con! This was our first trip to the BIG convention and it definitely was interesting.
If you look closely at the people on the panel, the one in the middle is Steven Spielberg and the one on the right is Peter Jackson - we had no idea when we sat down to listen to this panel that we would be seeing/hearing them - they were probably the best part of the Con besides all the great costumes we got to see.

Speaking of great costumes, here's a selection of some of the better ones we got on film:

Can you find Waldo???

This was definitely one of the best.

These shark balloons actually were remote controlled and flew in the air just like they were swimming in water - very cool. One even came and sat on my head!

It took us a while to figure these ones out but once we did we thought it was very cool - do you know what movie they are dressed up from?

This has to be one of the most realistic Captain Jack Sparrow's I've ever seen - even at Disneyland.

No words for this one.

Can you tell he's a Dolphin's fan?

An original costume she made up - not from any comic, movie, or television show.

Her eyes are very trippy.

Angry Birds anyone?
